About
I'm a senior software developer with over a decade of professional experience across several different sectors — real-time geospatial data platforms, CRM and support tooling, and core SaaS product engineering, among others. What ties it together isn't a single industry; it's an ability to adapt to whatever a team or project actually needs.
I've spent most of my career on the frontend — React and TypeScript are where I'm strongest — but I'm just as comfortable stepping into the backend, infrastructure, or tooling when that's where the problem is. More recently that's meant leading on engineering standards for a growing team: setting up a monorepo from scratch, establishing shared packages, and pushing for a consistent approach to how components and data access are written.
Whatever the project, I care about the same things: solid foundations, good test coverage, and components built to be reused rather than rewritten. I enjoy helping other engineers grow into their roles as much as I enjoy the code itself.
What I work with
Background
BSc Computer Science (Digital Media and Games), Brunel University, London — my final-year project and dissertation focused on distributed simulations. Native English speaker, with rudimentary German and French.
Outside of work
Away from the keyboard I'm usually playing an obscure board game, teaching my kids to rollerblade, or brewing a batch of lager, bitter, mead, or barley wine. I follow rugby and ice hockey closely.
